Top 10 Search Engine Optimization Professional Strategies !
By Search Engine Optimization Professional, Todd Herman

Although the concept of search engine optimization can be somewhat a headache, there are a number of basic search engine optimization techniques you can use to improve your organic search results. Keep the following in mind when trying to achieve top rankings for your website.

1. Meta Tags.

Meta tags are unseen lines of code at the top of each web page that gives information to the search engines about your page. Include the title tag, keyword stag, description tag, and robots tag on each page.

2. Build and update your sitemap regularly.

Building a site map is a effective way of giving search engines the information they need to crawl your entire website. There are plenty of free sitemap builders on the web that can help you generate a solid sitemap. Once you create a sitemap, submit it to Google and Yahoo and as many search engines as you can.

3. Ensure that all navigation is in HTML.

Way too often, navigational menus are in java script form. Though navigation technically still works in this format it is not optimized. build your navigation in HTML to enhance internal links throughout your website.

4. All  images must include keyword ALT text.

Your image’s alt text is crawled by search engines. If you don’t include your keywords in alt text, you’re missing out on a huge potential for improved search engine result placements. Label all of your images associated to that specific keyword.

5. Use limited flash content, by Search Engine Optimization Professional Todd Herman.

Content generated through java script or flash is a big no-no. Some webmasters like to use flash because of the presentation. If you must, use it sparingly, but only after your site has been properly optimized with basic search engine optimization in mind.

6. Make sure that your website code is clean.

Keep in mind when optimizing a web page crawlers are basically only looking at your source code. When programming your web pages, having W3C compliant code can make all the difference. Run your code through a free W3S validation program before promoting.

7. Place keywords in your page content.

Search engines crawl your website and web pages for keywords. Shoot for a keyword density of between two and seven percent. Google likes your page to be at the lower end of this scale and Yahoo at the upper end. So I put mine in the middle.

8. Submit your website to search engine directories.

It’s always a good idea to let large search engine directories know that you’re out there. Submit your website URL to directories like Google, Yahoo, and DMOZ.

9. Build links to your website.

Create one-way links to your website using articles or forum posts. All major search engines value the importance of your website based on how many others websites are linking to it.

10. Learn the basics of optimization.

Optimizing your website for search engines takes time. Apply these basic search engine optimization rules to your web pages and it will come, but you’ll have to be patient. If you’re new to website SEO, or even a veteran, start by prioritizing which pages are most important to you and go from there. Soon you’ll find your website headed to the top!

Happy SEO-ing!

Drupal Website Design and Web Developments ?

November 25th, 2008
Over the last few years Drupal website design and web developments have been steadily rising on internet. I wondered… ok there has to be something really unique about this php data based script. After a quite extensive investigation and reading countless tutorials on Super Drupal ( I like to call it ) my conclusion was simply WOW. This new ages development machine not only could easily build basic web developments but if my client wanted  to upgrader there design to a database or content management system it was as easy as a few clicks, there for decreasing the cost for my clients. CMS) written in the programming language PHP It is used to power many well-known websites. Like many modern CMSs, Drupal allows the system administrator to create and organize content, customize the presentation, automate administrative tasks, and manage site visitors and contributors.

Drupal is sometimes described as a “Content Management Framework” as its capabilities extend from content management to enabling a wide range of services and transactions. Although Drupal does offer a sophisticated programming interface, basic web site installation and administration can be accomplished with no programming.”

In short terms, Drupal is the easy way of developing a website content management system for easy,  self client updates. The website owner can easily add text, photos, multimedia and pretty much anything they want on there website, if provided with the correct instructions to do so, which I include with all my Drupal website design and web developments. In closing this relatively new content management system  has allowed us to give our clients full access to their website and upon a short afternoon of basic Drupal website design and web development instruction, we can allow our clients to update their own websites which saves them not only time but also money. We have has nothing but 100% positive feed back about our Drupal website design and web developments as they are some of the most top websites that we have personally built or seen. Drupal not only takes a fraction of the time to install and design on out clients specifications, but is also very affordable. Which in turn saves our clients a lot of time and money. Alberta and Canada website back links and how important are they?

November 14th, 2008

I found myself wondering how my #1 Google search engine ranking dropped to a #39 position, when if fact I was applying all the internal SEO tactics needed. I had thought yes i still got high quailty back links from my clients, as I had put them there. to make sure, I headed over to Google did a search on the websites linked to
(link: globalwebsitecreations.com) As it turned out over the last year all our so called high quality back links on our clients websites have disapeared, which meant they didnt want them there, and the big kicker was, we couldnt say a thing about them not being there. So…now im loosing our over 2700 front page search engine listings by the minute, and finding them on the third of forth pages! how dare they ! lol  but seriously, I watched them ALL diminish over an 8 hour stretch! WOW very painfull ordeal for any SEO’er.  I mean, all that hard work an analytics gone within one day! So after i picked myself up off the floor, I propelled into back link mode. I HAD (didnt want lol) to search for help! the lord only knows that any top SEO’er asking for help is not unheard of but we have a reputaion to uphold! omg asking for help? lol not me!….. and after i got of my very high horse, (well sort of fell off) lol I reached for a help in search of high quality, one way PR 5+ (I accept nothing lower) Alexia AND Google  back linking services. I must admit I’m very glad I did seek this as I found out that purchasing high quality one way links from 5+ PR websites in Alexia and Google was very affordable (to low cost) you just got to find the right service providor to do so.  So off to
Elance.com and I searched for “Search Engine Marketing” I came across many so called Search engine marketers and though tiral and error, I found  Gamit_SEO and thanks their very high quality back linking stratagies in the the Google and Alexia search engines, my website is back at number one for “Alberta Website Design” and up from a 32th position to Number two for “Canada website design” After thinking my years of what I call top notch SEO efforts went all to the dogs, I was wrong when in fact it was my back links and the quality of them. So the point here is that I wasnt keeping up with both my internal and external SEO abilities and there for I was the only one to blame. Gamit_SEO pulled my butt out of a sling, they are very affordable and provided all the information I had asked for, as in I didnt want anything lower than a PR 5+ linking to my website and I wanted URL links to all the website my article was submitted to. After another link search in two weeks or so, they were true to their word! Hats off to them as they just gain another satisfied, fathfull client, me. So in closing, please always keep up with both your internal AND external SEO implementations. A word to the wise, If you dont keep up on your critical, internal and external SEO efforts, your surely to lose rankings and fast as i did!  (Let keep that to ourselves shall we? ) lol…..take care, more tomorrow, Todd H

Canada Website Design or Developments ?

July 31st, 2008

Anyone involved in any type of promotional venture needs to realize that significant emphasis must be placed on web development and website design in order to achieve even a modicum of success. Exposure on the internet is critical to increasing the visibility of a business, charitable cause, hobbyist pursuit, etc. In the past, people would rely on their local newspapers or business to business directories to look for a product, service or venture that struck their interest. Today, the first venue people examine is the internet. That is why website design is important because poor design would probably disincline any visitors from being interested in the contents (and purpose) of the website.

Now, some may say that since their business is exclusive to Canada and they do not have to promote themselves on the internet. Instead, they should seek to expand their local advertisement exclusively in Canada. To make such a statement betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of how the internet operates. The internet can be used to expand international exposure as well as maximize local exposure. In all depends on the focus of the specific web development plan that is enacted.

The bottom line, however, as is that if you promoting any venture –whether it is in Canada or elsewhere – you are going to need a strong internet presence. But, this internet presence will be unachievable unless you seek the help of a professional website design or web development service. Now, some may wonder what the difference is between a Canada website design and a Canada web development service. So, here is a brief overview of the difference between the two.

The design of websites essentially refers to the actual look of the website. That is, the graphics, the layout, the text, and any other items that are incorporated into the physical appearance of websites. So, for Canada based websites, a design that entails the geographic origins of the site could be emphasized to a significant degree. Actually, any type of design approach will work on websites provided the end result is aesthetically pleasing.

This brings up the next point: The design of websites should never be haphazard. Simply randomly combining graphics with accompanying text with hardly impress visitors. Instead, creative websites are those that are visually appealing and any design proposal that embodies these traits should be considered.

Canada web development is more expansive than Canada website design. In a way, website design is a subset of web development as web development refers to an overall strategy of creating a successful Canada website development. For example, a search engine optimization strategy designed to boost websites in Google or Yahoo rankings would fall under the category of web development.

Really, anything and everything related to the website’s success could be considered web development. Selecting the right hosting company for websites would fall under the category of web development as would anything else that seeks to improve the quality of Canada website design, its promotion or its operation.

Ultimately, a website that employs the right design and/or development service will prove to be a successful venture. After all, solid well based Canada website design and Canada website development can take a website to a substantial online success rate.

The Importance of a Good Alberta Website Design

June 27th, 2008

When enacted properly, good Alberta website design looks like a work of art. That is because there is tremendous skill required to design a website. When visitors to a site see that is has been properly designed they will react positively to the site. For those who operate a commercial site this is a critical point to note. Poor website development will significantly reduce the potential to make sales because visitors won’t stay on the site long enough to make conversions viable.

Imagine if you were a visitor to a site and quickly discovered that the site was a slap dash site loaded with web development disasters. That is, the website was cluttered with text, limited in the amount of graphics it possessed, and filled with annoying pop up ads. Would that even remotely sound like good website design? Hardly! In fact, it would seem that the website designers either didn’t know what they were doing or they flat out didn’t care. In such a case, visitors to the site may very well look at the site and think “Well, if the web publisher doesn’t care then I don’t care.” Needless to say, such of visitor will depart the site within a very short period of time.

It is also important to point out here that visitors will not separate the low quality work of the website designers from the website’s publisher. They are not going to say “I think I will waste 20 minutes on this confusing website because I am sure the publisher meant well.” No, they are simply going to be dismissive of a website as amateur hour. Clearly, this will shatter the confidence in the visitor in regards to the individual who is publishing the site. This is understandable. What decent level of confidence can a poorly composed website provide? The answer is obvious: ZERO!

If consumer confidence is shattered then it is highly doubtful that the customers will even remote agree to a purchase. If the website design is awful then how could the products sold be any better? Even if the website publisher has a sincerely outstanding product, poor website design will completely undermine his ability to promote his wares. This is an undeniable fact web development publishers need to be fully aware of!

Of course, the inverse is true as well. If solid Alberta website designers are employed and they do a solid website design job then the ability for a website to be commercially successful will be possible. Because so much commerce is conducted on the internet, the demand for website designers has increased. Now, there are so many designers out there that deals are easier to come by. Considering the low cost options available for hiring a affordable, Alberta website designer, there is really no reason to avoid putting one on the proverbial payroll!
